After the attractions offered by the beach, we drove inland to the Berat district.
In Berat we visited the castle, which is built on a hill. The buildings date from the 13th century. Currently, this castle is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The roads in the village are made of stone, which is very slippery. We found out about it while looking for a place to park the car.
Berat is a city called the city of a thousand windows. This is due to the specific buildings developed on the castle hill. All the houses look alike and have lots of windows.
After sightseeing, it was time to relax in the water. This time we went to the swimming pool located near the campsite where we stayed (Berat Caravan Camping).
