We went to explore next museum located opposite to the museum of Fram. This time, the museum of the Norwegian Navy. We can found there an overview of the history and techniques of the Navy. It is the largest of the museums watched that day. It has a huge collection of exhibits and some of them are downright amazing.
You can, for example, compare materials (weight, hardness, thickness) of which ships were built. Kris most liked mini model of marine engine that can be run by pressing button.
There was also a large collection of lamps used in lighthouses, the interior of an old ship, thumbnails passenger ships, commercial ships, oil rigs …
For children they made a special play area, where you can watch the fairy tale, draw a picture and hang it on the wall. Kris was coloring it painting and hung it on the wall.
Admission: adult NOK 80, children> 6 years NOK 30 and family 150NOK.
After the visit we went to the marina to the ferry back to the port at the town hall.
