Bledne Skaly with kids - a rock maze where dad does not fit

Is Bledne Skaly (the Errant Rocks) good for kids? Yes, it is one of the most interesting trails in the Table Mountains for families. You walk through the sandstone maze in about an hour, all on wooden walkways, and the narrowest crevices are so tight that kids pass through easily, while adults go sideways or not at all. With us the kids led the way and we tried to fit through.

The day before we climbed Szczeliniec Wielki. The plan of the whole 2020 holiday is in the post Summer holidays in Poland with kids 2020.

From Bukowina Klodzka on the green trail

On Friday 7 August we drove 22 km from the campsite in Radkow towards Kudowa-Zdroj. We left the car in Bukowina Klodzka and walked up to Bledne Skaly on the green trail. The signpost promised 30 minutes of walking. It was sunny and warm, so the walk through the forest was a pleasant warm-up.

The maze of Bledne Skaly

The maze trail starts at the national park ticket office. It is one-way, so you do not have to pass anyone in the crevices. It leads along walkways between the rocks, under overhangs and through gaps that you have to enter sideways.

At the first tight crevice the kids announced straight away: "Dad won't fit." They squeezed through easily on their own. In the end, in one place neither dad with his backpack nor mum could fit. The kids had a lot of fun with that.

The maze is best seen in the video, because it hardly shows in the camera photos:

Back through the forest

After leaving the maze we went back to the car through the forest. On the way the youngest climbed onto a post by the trail and saluted for the photo.

Our youngest sits on a red and white post by the forest trail and salutes.

At the campsite in Radkow there was nowhere to swim, so in the afternoon we drove 2 km to the Radkow Reservoir. The youngest swam with armbands on.

The next day

The next day we said goodbye to the Table Mountains and drove to Zloty Stok, to the gold mine: Zloty Stok Gold Mine with kids.

Practical info

We checked in November 2026.

  • Tickets: adult 16 PLN, reduced 8 PLN. Children up to 7 years old go in free with a free "zero" ticket downloaded online. The limit is 350 people per hour.
  • Getting there: you can drive to the upper car park by the rocks for 40 PLN, on a road with alternating one-way traffic. We left the car lower down and walked up the green trail from Bukowina Klodzka, about 30 minutes.
  • Trail: one-way, on walkways, about an hour. A big backpack can get stuck in the crevices, so it is better to take a small one.
  • Pushchair: it will not fit through the crevices and small steps.
  • Who it is for: kids who walk on their own.
