Largest snow maze in the World

At the Great Krokiew in Zakopane was created the world’s largest snow maze, which has ambitions of beating the Guinness Record. It occupies 2.5 thousand square meters. The previous record belonged to the Canadians (with a score of 1.7 thousand sq. meters). This ours, located in Zakopane, is made from 60,000 blocks of snow. It was built by 40 people.

We could not miss it! We went there the first day (23 January 2016), immediately after the opening, so we were able to avoid the queues. Nearby was preparations for the World Cup in ski jumping.

The maze can be accessed through a tunnel with a length of 14 meters covered in the snow. Next we overcome route wandering around the maze. We do not get any maps, but the route is fairly easy. The walls of the labyrinth are so high that even adults can not see which way to go to the exit.

We were very lucky that we were able to see this attraction. Due to the weather conditions the expected availability time is barely 40 days.
