It was our first visit to Zielona Gora and its pool. We were there on Friday so that we could avoid crowds.
The Recreation and Sports Facility is located on Sulechowska Street, at the Council of Europe Roundabout, about 2km from the new S3 express road. Getting there is very convenient and there is a large parking lot available.

The pool has some strange rules, that we will mention briefly, because you should know before arrival:
- They only let in people wearing tight-fitting bathing suits (and therefore not enter in shorts).
- There is a total limit of people enjoying the pool at once (max 500 persons) and on the website they publish a live count of how many spots are left.
- Pricing includes a family ticket option for families with at least three children. Here, however, note that to use this option, you must sign a form in which you give personal data of the family, including sensitive data such as national ID number, telephone number, email. A child must present their birth certificate. I think that is a bit too much just to get a discount at the pool. We skipped the personal data declaration and entered on normal tickets.
At the facility there are several swimming pools, including a lap pool and recreation one. The main attractions are: a water balloon with a diameter of 15m, wild river, climbing wall and slides (onion, half-open salamander, double broad gauge, the longest in Poland slide tube with a length of 210m, and a shorter pipe length 90m).
Attractions such as the longest water slides and water balloon have additional restrictions. In the case of the slide is the age restriction, and to enter the water balloon you cannot wear jewelry. The balloon is open in sessions that last at least 5 minutes. At the same time, only 20 people may participate in each session. The balloon is inflatable dome with 4 climbing ropes that can be used to get to the top.

To use the slides you need to climb a glass tower that rises above the surrounding woodland and pool. From the top is an amazing view of the surroundings. Sliding is interesting, a lot of corners, effects of the light. Apart from the length, the slide is not substantially different from slides at other pools.
The changing rooms in the facility are shared, with a proximity card locking system. A small note – the locker can lock with the key still inside. We had that issue. To open the locker again we needed to find an attendant.

In summary, it is worth visiting Zielona Góra’s swimming pool. The biggest surprise for us was the final fee for use of the pool, which was almost half of what we would pay for the same time at the Termy Maltańskie in Poznań (Termy Maltańskie).
