Largest snow maze in the World

At the Great Krokiew in Zakopane, the world’s largest snow maze was created, which had ambitions of breaking the Guinness Record. It occupies 2.5 thousand square meters. The previous record was held by the Canadians (at 1,700 sq. meters). This one, located in Zakopane, is made from 60,000 blocks of snow. It was built by 40 people.

We could not miss it! We went there the first day (23 January 2016), immediately after the opening, so we were able to avoid the queues. Nearby, preparations for the Ski Jumping World Cup were underway.

The maze can be accessed through a 14-meter-long tunnel covered in snow. Next, we navigated the route by wandering around the maze. We didn’t get any maps, but the route is fairly easy. The walls of the labyrinth are so high that even adults couldn’t see which way to go to reach the exit.

We were very lucky that we were able to see this attraction. Due to the weather conditions the expected availability was barely 40 days.
